Bandra-Worli Sealink and 5 major toll plazas across Mumbai go cashless
We are happy to announce that we have enabled real-time cashless toll collection across the Bandra-Worli Sealink and five other major toll plazas in Mumbai. Commuters can now pay toll charges instantly with their Paytm Wallet and zip past in no time.
Using cash at toll plazas slows down traffic and creates hassles related to loose change. This also means useless vehicle combustion. Our latest service will help Mumbai’s commuters, toll plaza attendants and the country at large.
This first-of-its-kind partnership with Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation will help ease traffic across Mumbai’s busy roads. We have also partnered with MEP Infrastructure Developers to facilitate online recharge of ETC tags in Mumbai.
Over 45,000 vehicles use the Bandra-Worli Sea Link for their daily commute, a figure that shows the wide-reaching impact our new partnership will have. It is a promise to change the way India transacts daily and truly propel the country to become a cashless economy in every way possible.
