Kirana stores opt for Paytm Business Khata to avoid cash, our e-ledger service records ₹1500 Crore in transactions

We are happy to share that our ‘Business Khata’ product has become India’s fastest-growing e-ledger service. As more & more kirana stores are adopting digital transactions to avoid cash, we have recorded over ₹1500 Crores in payments since the launch of our Business Khata services in January this year.

During the ongoing lockdown, the service has witnessed 4x growth both in terms of new merchants and the total number of daily transactions.

We have revolutionized the offline payments with our QR based merchant payments. Business Khata enables our kirana store partners to maintain digital ledgers of all their customer transactions including cash and credit (udhaar).

Using our service, a million merchants have switched to the digital platform and have also learned to set payment due dates for credit transactions & send automated reminders.

With this, the merchants can send payment notifications to their customers that have their billing history. The customer can simply make payment by clicking on the same link and pay through their preferred mode of payment including Paytm Wallet, Paytm UPI, cards, or net banking.

Our Business Khata service is absolutely free for merchants and they can download the ‘Paytm for Business’ app to use it. Our merchant partners can also download reports for easy verifications and to track daily sales growth; thereby improving overall business efficiency.
