Paytm Mall is helping sellers get GST-ready
Over 70% active merchants on the platform are already GST-complaint
We have launched a seller assistance programme recently to help online merchants become GST-ready. In addition, we are also helping them get access to Goods and Service Tax Network (GSTN) numbers, simplifying the process of owning multiple GSTNs across states. Our platform has third-party experts to help merchants ensure tax-complaince ahead of the upcoming GST launch.
This has met with an encouraging response from the merchant community.
Today over 70% active merchants on Paytm Mall are GST-complaint with over 90 Mn products mapped to HSN codes in preparation for the new tax slabs.
Paytm Mall has also conducted several offline camps and online workshops to educate sellers about GST compliance. It has partnered with ClearTax for the compliance, who will also offer GSP and ASP to its merchants. The company also has a dedicated GST Helpdesk to handhold merchants as the country moves closer to the launch-date of its biggest yet tax reform.

Paytm has also recently launched a Pre-GST Clearance Sale featuring 6,000 retailers across 500+ brands clearing their existing stock to gear up for GST.
The three-day sale — June 13 to June 15 — offered discounts, cashbacks and a chance to win Apple iPhone 7 on a minimum purchase amount of Rs 1,000. Sellers and brands are offering up to 80 per cent off on products including cashbacks of up to Rs 20,000 on DSLRs, televisions, laptops and air conditioners.
