What else should I know about Paytm Wallet?

Paytm wallet has a basic monthly limit set by RBI. This means you cannot keep or spend more than Rs. 10,000 in your wallet in a month. To upgrade your limit to Rs. 1 Lakh, please get your account verified with us using the KYC process.

Steps to follow:
- Go to your profile under your name on Paytm
- Choose “Upgrade your account” — Choose address where we can send someone to verify and pick your documents.
- Keep photocopies of your Govt. Photo ID, Address proof & a recent photograph ready.
- Your account will be upgraded within 20 days.

I have lost my mobile & want to block my account. Help!

We understand your concern, and won’t let anyone misuse your Paytm account. Please write to care@paytm.com and we will block your account.
If you want to get it unblocked, write again to care@paytm.com from your Paytm registered email & we will unblock it.

Why is my account blocked? What’s going on?

This could be due to a variety of reasons. It could be that our system has detected a fraudulent transaction happening from your account. If our system detects multiple accounts being operated from a single IP address, it blocks the accounts. To unblock your account, please write to care@paytm.com from your Paytm registered email ID with your bank statement that clearly shows transactions made on Paytm, and we will unblock your account.

How do I transfer money from my Paytm Wallet back to my Bank account?

Scenario 1:
This happens rarely, but incase your transaction fails & the refund is added to your wallet in the form of Paytm cash, simply go to your “Paytm Wallet Statement” and tap on “Refund” to transfer the money to the source account.
Please note: there are no extra charges for this transfer

Scenario 2:
To transfer Paytm cash to any bank account: Login to Paytm.com/paytmcash and tap on’Transfer to bank’. Enter your bank details and the amount to be transferred. However, the following T&Cs apply here:
A maximum amount of Rs 5000 can be transferred per transaction
4% of the transferred amount would be charged as convenience fee
Min balance of Rs 2000 in the users wallet is required
The user’s account needs to be registered on Paytm for minimum 45 days
Transactions of this nature can take place only on Paytm.com/paytmcash from the web or mobile site (not the app).

How do I transfer Paytmcash to a friend’s Paytm Wallet?

So simple! Type in your friend’s mobile number to transfer money (as shown in the screenshot).
Please note: your friend needs to have a verified Paytm account to receive the money.
