We have a new Android App update! Check out what’s new this time around

Today we’re rolling out a new app update (Version 5.7.0) with a host of new functionalities to make your Paytm experience smoother and quicker. This update is a great mix of refinements to fine-tune existing features and introduce new ones to improve our overall interface.

Here are some of the top improvements you’re sure to notice:

We have been constantly working to bring you the most seamless payment experience ever, and this time we have made a huge leap here. You can also create a shortcut for Pay using the pay screen and add to the phone’s home-screen to quickly pay while on the go.

Over the past months, we’ve noticed you are storing incremental amounts in your Paytm Wallets. This prompted us to allow new users to set a pass code in addition to their Paytm password. This will ensure greater safety for your money.

Inviting your friends and family to use Paytm is easy. Simply login in, tap on the Profile icon on the lower part of the screen and select ‘Invite’. We’ll show you a host of options to invite others — WhatsApp, e-mail, SMS and so on.

Our goal is to help save your money every time you book tickets with us. That’s why we’ve incorporated a fare calendar in our flights section. This will allow you to view fares while selecting your travel dates. That’s not all, we’ll also help you book flight tickets for hand-baggage only fares — you don’t need to pay more when you’re carrying less.

We also realized booking international flights was a hassle for many. In our new interface, you only need to enter compulsory information to book international flights. That means you can now book tickets faster and at the cheapest rates on Paytm.

Travelling is great — it gets you out of your comfort zone and lets you explore what’s out there. However, when you visit a place many times over, you build a certain relationship with the hotel manager or bus operators over time. These are the people who help you with little niceties and make your stay memorable and we want you to preserve those experiences.

Every time you book your hotels or buses on Paytm, we’ll show your recent searches so you don’t end up with a nasty surprise on your next trip.
