Impact of DHFL Interest Payment Delay on Debt Mutual Funds

As per the media news, DHFL has not been able to make the interest payment on few bonds which was due on 4th June, 2019. Hence, mutual funds holding DHFL bonds have taken a large haircut (write down of bond value) as per AMFI guidelines leading to a sharp single day drop in NAV.
