September 2019: These Mutual Fund Schemes saw Maximum Investments on Paytm Money
Equity markets bounced back in September on the back of announcements of corporate tax cuts and rollback of FPI surcharge on capital gains by the Finance minister. This provided the markets the much needed corporate earnings growth guidance leading to highest one day gain in 10 years. On the other hand, the debt markets were concerned that the fiscal deficit target may not be met.
For the last few months, Small cap equity funds saw highest investments on our app. It is good to see that investors continue making investment decisions based on long term performance of the schemes in this category, even though their short term returns are poor. Chasing short term returns is not the right approach to investing. Investors should also keep in mind that debt categories such as Gilt should be looked with at least a 3 year investment horizon.
