We have finished the AMA with Dr Feng Cao on the telegram. Thank you for your participation and support. The following is the summary of the AMA.

Q1: In these conferences that you participated with Apple, Huawei, amazon, they are only names or there is possibility that PCHAIN has a partnership with any of them.

Feng: For IEEE conference, we are working on a standard of blockchain data format. regarding the partnership with these companies, I think it will be natural if we found some interesting direction to collaborate.

Q2: In mainnet we will see that the 180k of TPS is real? Will it be demonstrated with facts or only words. we have seen many other blockchain mainnet which did not meet the TPS and everything commented. There are risks that this happens in PCHAIN.

Feng: For mainnet launch, we will have 1 main chain and 1 child at first. After that, we will build the child chains step by step. Regarding the TPS, we already show the capability of PCHAIN with 256 child chains. So everyone can extend the scalability of PCHAIN by setup more child chain(s). And another interesting direction is when even your setup a new child chain you can deposit some PCHAIN token to motive the miners to mine in the child chain.

Q3: What will be the next steps to follow after the mainnet?

Feng: We will explore the commercial child chain and further extend the functionality of mainnet. So you can expect around 2 times upgrade of PCHAIN in 2019.

Q4: To avoid centralisation, is there a maximum amount of delegated votes per Candidate Node?

Feng: We didn’t setup max amount now. From our point of view, the key is we can enable many super nodes, so the delegator will not introduce too much centralisation problem.

Q5: 100 Panda nodes at mainnet launch, ~ how many validator nodes to be added every following Epoch?

Feng: It’s not finalized. We will consider the feedback and the number of participants. We don’t want it to grow too fast at early stage. When the network became stable, theoretically, there is no limitation. We can create more and more child chains to enable more and more validator nodes.

Q6: Latest update on the two Commercial Child Chains? Launch date, type of chains, use cases of the PI token, etc.

Feng: It’s in early design. You know, a new commercial application is not easy. The good news is it looks very promising.

Q7: How many patents is granted now?

Feng: We got 6 applications.

Q8: What is the current status of mainnet development? are we on schedule to launch mainnet on 31 March?

Feng: Yes. We are on schedule in Mar. We didn’t finalize the date of mainnet launch.

Q9: Hello Jeff any plans of increasing total supply in future like inflation?

Feng: Currently, we don’t have this plan. The total number of PCHAIN token is fixed.

Q10: The 2nd layers or state channels is getting more important for micro payment, will PCHAIN able to support micro payment?

Feng: Good question. In fact, multichain architecture is very suit for micro payment. In addition, it’s much powerful than traditional state channel. The account mapping in traditional channel is 1-to-1 structure. In child chain, the account mapping is M-to-M. So it’s much easier.

Q11: For some of us selected from PANDA to run super nodes from outside the top 100 stacks, at 19% return it seems we will be running at a loss at current token price and estimated server costs. Has any thought been given to this?

Feng: We believe the token price will reflect the real value of a blockchain in long term. Obviously, for PCHAIN, its price is underestimated. As we consider the server cost, we only recommend the server with around 77 USD/ month. You can check how much is needed for an EOS server per month.

Q12: What do you think the reasonable price of PI should be?

Feng: We don’t estimate price. From my personal point of view, it should be comparable with EOS or even higher.

Q13: What is the final objective of PCHAIN platform?

Feng: Making large scale blockchain applications possible.

Q14: When the IEEE P2418.2 working group planning end work on this standard and send draft to IEEE-SA for initial sponsor ballot

Is the development of a standard IEEE P2418.2 based on one of the PCHAIN patents?

Feng: We are in the 2nd round team meeting and will submit the draft after the 3rd round meeting. We claimed our patent in the meeting.

Q15: Will PCHAIN partner with jd.com, huawei, or any big multinational companies?

Feng: We will announce more partnership when project move forward.

Q16: Hi Jeff, is there possibility of PCHAIN partnership with Chinese government. Know probably sensitive info, but thought to ask.

Feng: Yes. We keep good discussion with Chinese Government. We hope to achieve some joint project in 2019.
