As more of us are increasingly told to stay at home due to COVID-19, GOG decided to help everyone relax and pass time with lots of free games to play.

The world is slowly shutting down to help deal with the coronavirus pandemic and in a bid to “flatten the curve.” Thankfully, we live in a time of distractions, meaning streaming services, video games, and the internet are all available to help pass the time and stave off cabin fever.

Digital games service GOG.com is going a step further, though, by offering 27 titles to play for free. On a page titled “ Stay at home and play some games,” GOG explains, “Closing the shades and playing video games can be one of the good ways to relax and pass the time when you stay at home. We’re here to help you choose your next great adventure with this selection of free games from our catalog.”

The free titles include, Akalabeth: World of Doom, Alder’s Blood Prologue, Beneath a Steel Sky, Bio Menace, Builders of Egypt: Prologue, Cayne, Doomdark’s revenge, Eschalon: Book I, Flight of the Amazon Queen, GWENT: The Witcher Card Game, Hello Neighbor Alpha Version, Jill of the Jungle: The Complete Trilogy, Legend of Keepers: Prologue, The Lords of Midnight, Lure of the Temptress, Overload — Playable Teaser, Postal: Classic and Uncut, Sang-Froid: Tales of Werewolves, Shadow Warrior Classic Complete, Stargunner, Sunrider: Mask of Arcadius, Teenagent, Treasure Adventure Game, Tyrian 2000, Ultima 4: Quest of the Avatar, Ultima World of Adventure 2: Martian Dreams, and Worlds of Ultima: The Savage Empire.

It’s a generous offer, but also an excuse to remind everyone that GOG is also running a Spring Sale, which continues until March 30. Highlights of the sale include discounts on XCOM 2, the Baldur’s Gate games, Witcher games, Warcraft games, Dragon Age, Diablo, and Blade Runner.

So relax, play some games, but also read some books, call some friends, do some exercise, and get some fresh air at every opportunity.
