In my last blog post, I described some of the initial steps we at PDF Generator API have already taken to prep for our launch on Product Hunt. I then said that getting your product on Product Hunt is not a milestone — it´s a process. This could not be closer to the truth.

We have now spent the past month getting people to follow us and sign up for our updates. Although this has produced results to some extent, I have now realized that to gain real traction, we should probably sign up for one of the upper-tier packages available as that would give us more exposure as an upcoming product via promotions or the scheduled product launch functionality. This would put PDF Generator API in front of more eye-pairs and hopefully align us better with the goals of the upcoming launch. But an often overlooked aspect of a successful product launch actually lies elsewhere. As you all know — launching a product on PH requires a hunter. Sure — you could potentially hunt your own product, but it would be far more effective if your hunter would be someone that knows your field of business and has street cred in the area. In our case, this would be someone that is familiar with the world of API-s. Although it’s a bit early to talk about this, we think we have found a person that would hunt us on PH and help us get the much-needed lead-way in the competitive daily launch calendar. More to follow on this! ;)

In other news — we have also decided that our design skills are not up to par and have hence ordered some new graphics for the landing page. Through that, we have once again had to vow down to the mighty power of Fiverr. You really can get anything off of Fiverr — at awesome quality and prices. We have used it in the past and will definitely use it also in the future. What especially amazes me is the quality of animations you can get from there.

Meanwhile — our pre-sales engineer Michal has published a post on API-s — their different types and use cases. Be sure to check that out also!

More developments to follow already very soon! Don´t forget to sign up for our updates on Product Hunt and subscribe to this blog!
