What a year it has been…
An excellent year for PDF Generator API is starting to come to an end. It has been a year of growth, trial-and-error, and above all — learning. We have spent the better part of 2020 working on improving the product and growing our market into new sectors and use cases. To reach our somewhat ambitious goals set at the beginning of the year, we have grown our development and DevOps teams which puts us in an excellent position to accelerate our growth even further in 2021. We know from experience that a great team can achieve far more than individuals on their own. The whole is bigger than the sum of its parts, as they say.
We can´t look back at the year past without digging into some figures. We are in the business of data after all. In 2020 we served clients in a growing number of sectors — from rail operators to airlines, from SaaS companies to software houses, from wholesale to e-commerce merchants.
In 2020, all of our clients generated close to 2.7m documents per month on 120k unique document templates they have created for their specific needs. By the end of the year, we will be hosting workspaces for 65k individual users/clients. Considering the lifespan of PDF Generator API, we are extremely proud to see this type of impressive growth.
What does 2021 have in store for us? We wish we had a crystal ball, but then again — so does everybody. In these uncertain times, one can only wish for the world to return to its normal state. We at PDF Generator API are hopeful though, as tough times have shown to create opportunities in places never before seen. This especially applies to our target markets and sectors. With some type of limitations in place for the majority of businesses, supply chains interrupted and production curtailed, automation has become more so relevant. Companies are actively seeking ways to streamline their business processes, cut costs, and improve efficiency.
And we are here to help them achieve this.
In 2021 we will also be turning our eyes and attention to no-code/low-code platforms. These platforms have shown tremendous growth in 2020, but we believe we are only seeing the beginning of something that will one day become the new standard for building business applications. Using no-code/low code tools, anybody can build apps to satisfy their specific business needs. And best of all — this doesn´t require any knowledge of coding. Our opportunity here lies in making it as easy as possible to integrate with PDF Generator API — in turn giving us access to a new target market via these platforms.
So in many ways, 2021 will be a year of opportunity for PDF Generator API and we will make the most of it. After all — many of the world’s greatest companies were born in the midst of crises. There is a lot to be hopeful about.
