Report on Lead in Water Scandal Released by Portland School District

Findings reveal lack of clear policies, protocols and communications procedures relating to lead in water and other water quality issues

The report is quite extensive and does not paint a good picture of School Superintendent Carole Smith’s administration. Smith keeps a tight control over communications with parents and the media but seems to care for little else. We posted some highlights, or lowlights depending on your perspective, below.
