Vision of Peacecraft
Thousands of years ago into today, crafts and their artisans organized themselves into guilds. Peacecraft envisions Peacemaking as craft or artisanal. Much like gardening and even carpentry, these are practical skills of transformation. Peacecraft are skills of conflict transformation. The medium is Humanity. Relationships are fundamental of Humanity.
Peacecraft has tools and strategies to transform relationships of humanity into peaceful ones. Like all artisanal work, it requires labor and time to hone the craft. It is no cakewalk, and it requires a lot of care. Even the masters of Peace remain vigilant. The artisan develops not only precision, but also sensitivity. Sensitivity is fundamental in the creative process. The creative process is nothing other than transformational.
May we look forward to a Guild of Peacecraft. Artisans in transforming human relations toward Peace & Justice. Taking on a Proactive stance in creating a Peaceful & Just Humanity. In our society, frantic & haunted in the Culture of War, it will not transform itself unless a Culture of Peace marches forth.
