Latest two filings have $0.00 throughout, but the amended March 30 filling does include a $400.00 contribution total. Either way, the fundraising is not there for Dr. Ridgeway.

Analysis

This district looks to be in the bag for Rep. Brockway. Dr. Ridgeway doesn’t seem to have the organization base on fundraising. The numbers are against her, but this district could be competitive in another cycle if the demographics keeps moving the same direction. It’s been talked about a lot, but Gwinnett County looks to be turning blue sooner rather than later. That’s seen here in this district with the significant increase in minority registration and simultaneous decrease in white registration.

While Dr. Ridgeway will likely lose this cycle, the Democrats should focus on this district in 2018 and 2020. I believe that this could flip by 2020, but we need to keep up the pressure.
