Prepare for … even snow!

Two weeks to go before departure. While Easter in London looks mild and calm, conditions on mountains are different. For instance, Ben Nevis is in fact enjoying snow fall right now.

We will of course not spend a long time on top of each mountain, but it is definitely worth packing and preparing for the trip.

So, what should I pack? We recommend the following:

  • Rain jacket (Waterproof and windproof, e.g. Gore-tex)
  • Hiking boots (Waterproof, ankle support and properly fitted and worn in. Runners are not acceptable). Highly advised to buy a couple weeks beforehand to avoid blisters with new shoes.
  • Good socks (e.g. hiking socks or sports socks)
  • Water bottle (or camelback) with minimum 1.5 litres of water per hill
  • Warm clothes (e.g. base layer and upper-layer)
  • Food that doesn’t go bad staying 24 hrs in a bus
  • Backpack (e.g. 25l)
  • Bag for the bus where you can leave more stuff
  • Phone & wallet
  • Headlamp
  • (optional) Casual clothes for flights and next morning
  • (optional) Hiking poles
  • (optional) Electrolytes, gels, powerbars
  • Determination to conquer all 3 peaks
