DivInc Social Justice Accelerator Cohort 9

Recap

Our tenth week of the accelerator was all about the pitch. We focused on practicing, refining, and finalizing our narrative and deck. During our eleventh week, we explained how existing solutions aren’t solving leaders’ hardest interpersonal problems at work, and why the world needs Pearl on demo day.

Practice pays off. This has been our refrain for the past week or so, but this was the week when it mattered most. We practiced in a Capital One conference room, a park, at Capital Factory, and literally anywhere else we (or specifically Lawrence) could. We implemented the advice and feedback from our mentors, advisors, families, and friends to tell Pearl’s story to the DivInc community and investors on demo day.

Our biggest learning from the tenth week was:

This was all worth it. We are still processing everything that happened last week, but it was amazing. It was so rewarding to see the results of a lot of dreaming, designing, and hard work. We have some big things working, but for now, we rest.
