On sunday June 13 I began pedaling and paddling from my my home in Bellingham, Washington, in the far northwest corner of the state near to Lake Superior. I’m in no hurry so we’ll see how far I get this season.

My system is a Surly Krampus bike, Carry Freedom bike trailer with a custom-made long-arm extension and wider axle, and a We-no-nah solo canoe. When biking I tow the canoe, and when paddling I stow the canoe and trailer in the canoe.

I hope to get to Duvall WA today via the Centennial Rail Trail and back roads. About 53 miles.
