Going abroad? Not sure how it will go?
Dear teenager, are you going abroad soon? No need to feel stressed or overwhelmed. I want to talk about various experiences different people had about going abroad. I hope it will help you out.
Going to a big city?
Big cities are places with skyscrapers, various events, various opportunities, amazing restaurants, shopping malls, concerts, and in general where such a fullness of life can be found.
Things that you may not find very intriguing are lots of people, along with a lot of traffic and noise. There is also a lot of crime happening. Everyone is always in a hurry, and that makes some people very stressed. ‘’People just do not care who hears their conversations’’, conveys writer of the travel blog post, “An Englishman in New York’’. People in such big cities mind their own business; they don’t care about what you are doing at the moment. On top of that, anything you want to buy will probably be very expensive.
In the travel blog, “An Englishman in New York,” the writer also said that in New York City he had ‘’the feeling of being on a film set’’. In big cities like New York, there’s a good chance that so many movies and series were filmed there. You will be able to find something you recognize or that just looks familiar.
You will be able to visit so many fun places, and meet so many people. You will be able to see what living a fast, city lifestyle looks like. While you are there, don’t forget to visit the top of a skyscraper. It’s an unforgettable view!
Going to a small town?
Very different from a big city, small towns are still a great experience. There may be less entertainment choices, and you won’t find many of the things that exist in the big cities. However, you will find more green areas. There won’t be many people or traffic, and everything moves at a slower pace.
It will feel much safer, compared to being in a big city. It’s quiet and peaceful, and everything is much more affordable.
Small towns are constantly growing and changing; next time you visit they probably won’t be the same. As the writer of ‘’Notes from a Small Island’’ said, ‘’I didn’t recognize anything’’ next time he visited his small hometown. Enjoy the culture and nature as much as you can while you are there!
Going to a village?
Villages are a great escape from city living. There’s so much air and open areas, fresh food, peace, and you will feel very connected with nature.
In the article, ‘’Visit to a Village’’ the writer said, “Since there were no street lights, the moon seemed to shine brightly.’’ There is a great chance that the moon will shine just as brightly in the village you are visiting. You should also expect, as the writer said, “for food, I had different preparations all made from fresh vegetables.’’
Enjoy it as much as you can, and you will get to meet all of the neighbors. The writer also mentioned, “one of the ideal places to relax and unwind is the village’’. So don’t forget to rest!
This is just how some people experience those places, and their opinions. You should visit and have your own. Good luck :)
