Peertec’s CEO Ash Han Discusses Vitalizing Blockchain in Busan at Busan Economic Promotion Agency’s “2019 Policy Seminar”
Blockchain fintech company Peertec (https://peertec.com/) participated in the “2019 Policy Seminar” organized by Busan Economic Promotion Agency on October 24, 2019. Ash Han, Peertec’s CEO and founder of Korea’s largest blockchain group “Peer,” was invited to speak at a panel discussion on the “Measures to Vitalize Blockchain in Busan.”
Peertec’s CEO Ash Han discussed the formulation of business strategies and use cases of blockchain technology in Busan. “Busan is the optimal opportunity in creating a use case of blockchain in the real economy,” said Han. “There are many existing use cases, but we’re at a stage where we need a use case like a blockchain-based payment that enables the public to experience the technology in their everyday lives. In order to achieve this, governmental support, including deregulation, is needed.”
The seminar was about examining and discussing the latest issues in Busan to deduce regulatory implications. There were approximately 150 participants, including key figures and professionals related to Busan’s economy and the blockchain industry.
Han is the founder and CEO of Peer (https://peer.com/), which is composed of Peertec and other companies. As the main figure who first introduced the blockchain technology in Korea in 2014, Han is leading the expansion of blockchain’s ecosystem and the attainment of blockchain mass adoption. He is also the founder of Deconomy, a global forum on distributed economy, that first invited world-renowned figures in the blockchain industry like David Chaum, Nouriel Roubini, and Vitalik Buterin to Korea.
Peertec developed a high-speed blockchain-based B2B payment infrastructure that has a payment clearing engine. Further, PeerPay can be applied to all blockchain-based digital products and payment methods such as gift cards and vouchers.

블록체인 금융 기술사 피어테크(Peertec, https://peertec.com/)의 한승환 대표는 지난 24일 부산경제진흥원에서 주최한 ‘2019년 정책세미나’에 참여해 이같이 말했다.
한 대표는 블록체인 기업을 대표하는 연사로 초청받아 부산의 블록체인 사업 전략 수립과 활용법을 논의했다. 그는 이 자리에서 “부산은 실물경제 사례를 위한 최적의 기회”라며 “블록체인 기반의 결제와 같이 대중이 일상생활에서 블록체인의 장점을 체감할 수 있는 사례가 필요한데, 이를 실현하기 위해서는 규제 완화를 포함한 정부 차원의 지원이 중요하다”고 강조했다.
