Peerfin @ NEM Blockchain Center, Malaysia ( Jun 25 2018)
Team Peerfin was privileged to visit and experience the NEM Blockchain Center in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, this week. The Blockchain Center serves as an incubator, accelerator, and co-working space.It also houses the NEM Blockchain Innovation Lab, the headquarters for research and development as well as regional support for organizations interested in using the NEM platform within their IT infrastructures.
The team was warmly welcomed by Lon Wong, Founding president of the NEM foundation. Lon was part of the core team that built the cutting edge open source blockchain that NEM is today from scratch. Lon is backed by over 30 years of entrepreneurial experience with an eye for fintech and is considered as one the finest visionaries in blockchain today.
Lon currently has stepped out of the role as President of NEM.io foundation and heads a new project — Proximax.io — The project that makes use of the NEM blockchain technology to cover industries outside the regulated financial industry.
Accompanying him was Stephan Chia, who dons multiple hats in the NEM foundation as NEM council Member , Regional Head of SE Asia and NEM.IO Foundation Director. The meeting was very productive with discussions revolving around the synergy between NEM and Peerfin. ( Hush! More updates in days to come )
Another Highlight was the official launch of Private Beta of the Lamina Engine- Peerfin’s revolutionary second generation notarisation engine. The team had great feedbacks and comments about the Lamina Platform offering to provide support scaling up the platform going forward. Read More about Lamina here.

Also got to catch up with Anthony and Joe Chai — Star NEM developers. Both had been helping Peerfin for months and it was a pleasure to meet them in person and see some secret developer magic of their own.
