1 The French president, Emmanuel Macron, said that 1.5 billion euros will be allocated to artificial intelligence.

The investment will be made during the five-year period through various calls for projects.

“Talent, research, financing and data are key to making France a leader in artificial intelligence,” said the President of the Republic.

2 Footprints of human origin have been found on an island off British Columbia in Western Canada.

They are believed to be around 13,000 years old, making them the oldest footprints discovered in North America.

This study suggests that the region was already ice-free well before the end of the last glacial episode on the American continent 11,700 years ago.

3 The flourishing food supplement market worries scientists. Two-thirds of French people believe beneficial dietary supplements.

But they are as much to admit to misunderstanding the subject, according to a French survey published by the National Union of dietary supplements.

In 2014, ANSES had received more than 1,500 reports of adverse effects, three-quarters of which were related to dietary supplements.
