PULSE is a subsidiary of TRAC — Technical Research and Consulting. TRAC delivers dedicated technical research and consulting on multiple asset classes and time horizons to buy-side clients. TRAC’s clients include major banks, hedge funds and asset managers in New York, Paris and London. PULSE was born in a will to deliver our research to individual traders. We apply the same methodology, philosophy and the same level of requirements as for our private clients. Our Team is composed of 3 founding partners, each with a minimum 12 years of experience as consultant/analyst forecasting global markets and working closely with different types of traders within the world’s most renowned financial institutions.

When and how did you learn to trade successfully?

Upon request from our institutional clients, we have been tracking our ideas since we started the company 4 years ago.

How long have you been a mentor and what sent you down that path?

We became an active MENTOR only a few weeks ago, but we have been implicated in the PELCAN project since the beginning of 2017.

In brief, what is your trading strategy?

Our method, which is based on graphical indicators, mathematical indicators, Elliott Waves and Harmonic Patterns, consists of identifying market inflection levels and trends on several asset classes and different time horizons then recognize the different possible scenarios. We set up trades on these inflection levels. The global asset approach allow us to define a macro scenario and then to reinforce are single markets views, it is a bottom up/top down approach to select the best opportunities.

What is your track record in terms of performance?

Our service that is targeted to financial institutions (TRAC) doesn’t provide a systematic trading approach with stops and targets as our institutional clients use our approach as a complementary decision trading tool to reinforce, or not, their fundamental views. They use our inflection levels to play their own scenario and to get new ideas. Our clients portfolio is for us the best track record we have. With PULSE, and with the help from our clients, we are now looking to set up a more systematic trading approach to put trades in place with a money management expertise.

With regard to risk management what account size do you recommend, as a minimum, for those students following you via your Pelican group?

Its difficult to give any exact numbers. It all depends on how much time you have to spend on trading, the markets you’re interested in, your overall financial situation, how much risk you are willing to take…etc.

Do you specialise in specific markets?

We look at Rates, Forex (both G10 and EM Markets) but also on main Equity index and Commodity markets.

Do you use Stops and Limits?

Yes we use stops and limits.

Do you trade directly or use orders?

We trade directly close to each important inflection area which is defined using our methodology.

How many trades do you average a week/month?

Depending on market volatility we do +/- 5 trades per week.

What time commitment do you recommend to benefit from your service on Pelican?

It depends on how big a portfolio you have, but in general, I would recommend about 10 min per market per day so that you get an idea of where our levels are coming from.

What are the subscription costs associated with your Pelican group?

The price is 200 GBP per month to access our research.

Do you have any performance offers or deals?

We are looking into putting in place a performance based offer.

What excites you about the future of your Pelican group?

For more than 12 years we have worked with consulting and advise to big banks and hedge funds, therefore, the opportunity to work with private investors through Pelican presents an interesting challenge for us.
