In the soft light of dawn, where our laughter once bloomed,
Now silence lingers heavy, like a flower consumed.
We danced through the seasons, side by side in the sun,
But time’s cruel hand whispers that our journey is done.
The echoes of friendship, like leaves in the breeze,
Rustle memories sweetly, yet bring me to my knees.
Each shared secret, a thread in the fabric we wove,
Now frayed at the edges, as we drift from the grove.
I remember the moments, the joy and the tears,
The dreams we once painted, the hopes without fears.
Yet change is a river, relentless and wide,
Pulling us gently to opposite sides.
You took a new path, where the wildflowers grow,
While I linger here, where the old shadows flow.
Each step that I take feels heavier still,
For the heart bears the weight of a lingering will.
Acceptance is tricky, a lesson in grace,
To honor what was, yet to find my own space.
The heart knows its journey, though the road may be rough,
And though I miss you dearly, I know I am tough.
With every goodbye, there’s a whisper of hope,
That the bonds we have forged will teach us to cope.
For friendships may wane, but their essence remains,
In the laughter we shared, in the joys and the pains.
So I gather my memories like stars in the night,
Holding them close, in the soft, tender light.
Though parting feels heavy, it’s not the end’s call,
For we’ve grown through the years, and I cherish it all.
Perhaps in the future, our paths will align,
Like constellations that cross in the vastness of time.
But for now, I will walk with my head held up high,
Embracing the journey, and letting love fly.
So here’s to the moments, both fleeting and grand,
To the lessons we’ve learned, to the dreams we have planned.

Though distance may separate, you’ll remain in my heart.
