Pendulum Live on Ledger: Your Setup Guide

We’re delighted to announce that the Pendulum App is now live on Ledger! This marks a substantial stride in advancing security and accessibility for managing your PEN tokens. In partnership with ZondaxHub, we’ve successfully integrated Pendulum with Ledger, a globally recognized hardware wallet provider. Opting for cold storage with Ledger can enhance your PEN token security by providing you with self custody over your assets and safeguarding against potential digital threats. Here’s everything you need to know to get started.

Set up Pendulum on your Ledger

Before you Begin

• Make sure you have the Pendulum app installed on your Ledger device.
• Ensure that Ledger Live is closed while using Polkadot.js, and vice versa, to avoid conflicts.
• Polkadot.js is compatible only with Chrome and Brave browsers; it does not support Firefox.

Download the Pendulum App on Ledger Live

1. Connect your Ledger device to your computer.
2. Open Ledger Live and click on ‘My Ledger’.
3. Search for ‘Pendulum in the App catalog.
4. Download the Pendulum or Pendulum XL app.

How to Connect Your Device to Polkadot.js

• Connect your Ledger device to your computer.
• Unlock your Ledger device and open the Pendulum app.
• Navigate to polkadot.js.
• Confirm that you’re connected to the Pendulum network by clicking the logo in the top left corner and selecting Pendulum.
• Navigate to Settings > Manage Hardware Connections.
• Choose WebUSB if you are on Windows.
• Choose WebHID if you are on macOS or Linux.

• Click save.

Adding Your First Ledger PEN Account

• Navigate to Accounts in the top header.
• Select “From Ledger” from the drop-down menu.
• Fill in the name field and keep the default settings for Account Type and Address Index.
• Click Save.
• Confirm the connection by selecting your device and clicking Connect.
