Making it easier to embed your publication’s Request to Contribute button into articles.

As you may have heard by now, SuperMeditor now lets you embed your publication’s Request to Contribute button into any article. If you haven’t heard, read this article to learn more:

However, I have been been trying to effectively use it myself since launching it, but I’ve noticed it can take too many steps to get the link to embed the button into your article. Before today, you would have to go to your publication’s page on SuperMeditor, click to copy the embed link, return to your article and finally paste it there. You would have to take those steps to embed the button for each article you edit. That’s annoying. I know and I have been told.

If you have the SuperMeditor Chrome Extension, you will now be able to copy your embed link from within the article you are editing and embed it into that article efficiently.

By clicking on the SuperMeditor logo that appears in the bottom right of the article editing screen, you will be presented a window to copy your publication’s Request to Contribute button. Once you’ve copied the link, you can paste it anywhere you want and press the enter key to load the embed.

Important Note: If the SMedian Logo does not show up in the bottom right of your screen when editing an article, you need to simply refresh the page.

My publication, Marketing & Growth Hacking, has too many publications to add this button to, so what I do is add it only to the trending ones. Whenever I have some extra time, I go around and add the button to articles that don’t have it because the button drives traffic to your SMedian page for you to attract more writers.

SuperMeditor Update Notification for Editors
This is currently the only way I have to notify all SuperMeditor publication editors of updates. I’ll figure a better way later :)
