Refresh your website design now in time for 2016
The beginning of September always heralds the end of the summer holidays, back to school/work and a whole host of business priorities to kick-start Q4 (October-December). Among these ought to be a consideration of what to plan for the end of the year and the beginning of 2016. It never ceases to amaze us how many people like to coincide website launches with the beginning of January, so it makes sense to tackle the subject of design refreshes now with a view to completing everything in time for a pre-Christmas or early January launch.
A website, much like anything else, has a shelf life. In most cases, 2–3 years is the average length of time between design refreshes. These can vary from complete design overhauls incorporating a variety of features, such as high-resolution photography, embedded video, ecommerce functionality, to packaged “mini-refreshes” to the look and feel, which keep the site looking new and current without a major financial investment.

The design and content go hand in hand, of course, so together with any consideration of any updates to the visual appeal of the site, it is worth setting time aside to review the existing content and plan new or updated material as a continued programme of enhancement.
Of course, doing this on your own can be possible if you have enough time to do it, but on the whole you’re probably going to need some assistance, so get in touch and maybe we can help you get your site ready for 2016.
