“Inside each of us is a natural-born storyteller, waiting to be released.”

Robin Moore, author

Not long ago, I was visiting my countryside during the winter months. During the chilly winter nights, the village folks gather around a small fire to warm themselves up and also listen to stories, some real and some unreal.

As I was also keen to listen to the stories, I sat amidst the group of people, enjoying both the warmth from the fire and the tales about people and places.

A man in his late sixties was an expert storyteller. He perfectly knew his audience and what their expectations were from him. He suitably tailored his entire narrative to align with their preferences.

His audience wanted to learn about lands and its people in faraway places, and the storyteller absolutely knew how to capture their attention, describing with minute details the customs and traditions of the people living in those lands.
