Technology Development
Penta Blockchain
1.Integration and debug of the wallet components, API components, consensus components, and consensus governance contract components. The current progress is 90%;
2.The development of the RPC API test case related auto-execution program is completed;
3.Adjustment of the system contract code according to the new stateDB API, the current progress is 20%;
4.The DSC consensus process has been developed using an independent P2P broadcast network channel, and the initial test is working;
5.The development of the incentive code is in progress, the current progress is 30%.
PC wallet component and graphical interface
The development of the PC wallet GUI component is proceeding as planned. This week’s main task is to link the interface of the wallet graphical interface; the current overall progress is 75%:
1.penta-sdk-js is integrated into the wallet GUI and tested;
2.Wallet graphical interface “Account Management” module interface docking, progress is 40%;
3.The voting and proposal module interface docking is completed in the wallet graphical interface;
4.The wallet GUI IPC interface test phase is starting.
Penta blockchain explorer
This week, the blockchain explorer has been completed according to the plan. The current overall progress is 95%:
1.Complete the Java version development and testing of penta_sdk;
2.Complete blockchain explorer development and testing;
3.Complete the main chain RPC, WEBSOCKET interface joint test;
4.Start page display information tuning;
5.Start verification of blockchain process information.
Marketing Activities
【1】September 7, 2018 (Paris): Penta Business Development Director, Florie Zheng, attended the OECD Blockchain Policy Forum in Paris, France. Penta was one of the only blockchain projects represented at the OECD conference, and Florie was honored to meet with world leaders at the event, including Secretary-General of OECD, Angel Gurría, Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabić, Premier of Bermuda, David Burt, Vice-President and Treasurer of the World Bank, Arunma Oteh, and Head of the Savings and Financial Market Unit of the French Treasury, Geoffroy Caillou. In talks with forum participants, Florie noted that the value of public blockchains should be promoted and researched by scientific and technological communities across borders, and that shaping the industry ecosystem must be the result of a global collaboration.
【2】September 6, 2018 (Virginia): Penta CEO David Ritter met with the USA Rice Federation in their Arlington, VA office. USA Rice sought out Penta to research Penta’s successful implementation of blockchain supply chain solutions in the agricultural industry. During the meeting they discussed how Penta can design blockchain solutions for the rice supply chain in the U.S. USA Rice’s members include major buyers of U.S. rice products including Anheuser-Busch and Kellog’s. An article on Penta will be be included in the November issue of USA Rice’s monthly publication. Penta looks forward to offering blockchain solutions to U.S. Rice industry.
【3】September 6, 2018 (New York City): Penta had a New York Community Rooftop Party to promote Penta Labs. Penta CEO, David Ritter, and Penta Labs founder, Roy Liu, attended the party and met with the new Penta New York Community Ambassador. Also attending the party were crypto enthusiasts from Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch, Galaxy Digital, the New York Stock Exchange, and other Wall Street financial institutions. David and Roy were happy to join in some substantive discussions regarding blockchain technology, and U.S. regulatory policy in the crypto markets.
【4】September 14, 2018 (Seoul): Penta CEO David Ritter was invited to attend the 2nd Huobi Chain Developers and Engineers Meetup, held in the Gangnam district of Seoul, South Korea. The Huobi Chain event is a worldwide competition in which the Huobi community is voting for a team of blockchain experts to help build the Huobi public blockchain. This event marked the end of the second round of voting. David was honored to represent a team of candidates that includes three other top names in blockchain: Dr. Steve Melnikoff, co-founder and Chief Scientist of Penta; William Zuo, CEO of Gingkoo Fintech Ltd, one of China’s leading fintech companies and an award winning blockchain developer; and Charles Cai, Chief Data Intelligence Officer of McDonald’s China, CEO of InfiniVision ABC Labs, and CTO of Golden Arches. During David’s presentation, he focused on how Penta’s innovative DSC consensus could be used by the Huobi Chain to solve scalability while maintaining a decentralized platform. David was voted the champion presentation of the Huobi Chain conference by live audience voting, indicating the audience’s interest in DSC, and David’s proposal for how to solve the technical challenges facing Huobi’s public chain.

【1】September 3, 2018 (San Francisco): Penta CEO David Ritter launched an interactive live broadcast with Penta’s Chinese community fans on the Yi live broadcast platform (ID: 132642867). During the broadcast, David provided a detailed rundown of Penta’s monthly report, adding his insights as to the team’s progress. David offered a comprehensive reflection on the progress of Penta’s tech, ecosystem strategy and community building during September. The broadcast was watched by 168,000 unique viewers. As David noted, Penta is making real progress on all these aspects of the project and despite the bear market Penta’s development is moving forward steadily. We will keep you up to date on the latest developments related to Penta with our biweekly reports, regular live broadcasts, YouTube videos, and on social media. Penta is actively engaging our community to ensure that our development process includes the Penta community and your insights!
【2】September 3, 2018 (China): Penta’s Chinese telegram group hosted a Q&A lottery based on material covered in David’s live broadcast. More than 4,500 fans participated in the activity. Four lucky participants, selected through a lottery, received 11 gift packages, including Penta branded clothing, customized badges and card covers.
【3】September 12 to September 14, 2018 (China): Penta’s Chinese community launched the event “Just do it!” On Penta’s Chinese Telegram. This was the second phase of a Chinese community activity for which Penta is awarding 1 million PNT in prizes. Participants submitting the required forms and articles to Penta’s Chinese Telegram group and Weibo received up to 776 PNT. More than 4,600 people participated. PNT awards will be sent out soon, please stay tuned!
