You’ve probably seen dozens of pitch events. But have you ever watched a pitch tournament? A tournament adds extra excitement for both the audience and startups, as finalists will be chosen in real-time, during the event.

Podium Star: Industry 4.0

PowerPT is holding Korea’s first pitch tournament next week, featuring startups in the smart city/smart factory/metaverse space. If you’re interested in startups and excitement, you shouldn’t miss this one (register here).

In the preliminary round of the tournament, 16 startups battled to impress PR and marketing execs with their messaging. Eight teams now remain. And it’s up to you to declare the winner for Korea’s top Industry 4.0 startup. (Psst — there’s also a pretty awesome prize for the winner!)

  • Round 1: After hearing each team’s 60-second elevator pitch, the audience votes for who should advance.
  • Round 2: The top 4 teams then deliver their 5-minute investor pitches to a panel of 12 VCs and angel investors. Then, the winner is announced.

The Pitching Lineup

  • Gentle Energy — Know your factory
  • Port — Telepresence for remote work
  • Shh-wit — Online protection from toxic language
  • Teknobuilt — Drive to build better
  • Tiny Wave — Improving the safety of structures and facilities
  • WeRide — Get paid to ride
  • XQuant — Bringing data intelligence to financial companies
  • Zephrame — AI-powered smart doors to cool the future

We hope you enjoyed this sneak peek of what the startups will be pitching. To watch their pitches and vote in real-time, register here!
