Located at 3,700m above sea level, the village is isolated from mainstream society and has minimal infrastructure. The area also suffers from erosion in the rainy season, making access to fresh water and sanitation facilities a challenge.

The goal? To create a fresh water supply for the people that live in Llupa.

The Corporate Social Responsibility project has been run by the Siemens Corporate Finance Audit department for the last six years. Each year, 15 volunteers from all continents come together to support areas in need. Since the project launched, multiple villages in Africa, Asia and South America have seen significant infrastructure improvements, such as access to fresh water, sanitary facilities and school classrooms.
