Perennial is excited to announce that trading of Arbitrum ($ARB) Perpetuals is now live! Traders can go long or short $ARB with up to 20x leverage on Perennial and/or provide liquidity to these pools through our newly launched Arbitrum Ecosystem Vault.

Arbitrum Perpetuals on Perennial
Perennial has launched 2 new markets: $ARB-long & $ARB-short:
- Both markets track the core Chainlink price feed for ARB, which updates approximately every 0.05% price deviation.
- Maintenance is conservatively set to 5%, allowing up to 20x leverage.
- The initial jump-rate utilization curve has a minimum rate of 5%, target rate of 35% (at 80% utilization), and a maximum rate of 200% (all annualized % APRs).
- Taker open/close fees are initially set to 0.04%.
- There are no Maker fees.
These parameters may be adjusted over time to support the development of healthy markets.
Arbitrum Ecosystem Vault
When Perennial launched on Arbitrum, it also debuted its first automated LP vault, which autonomously deployed capital to ETH markets (and soon to other blue-chip assets). Demand for this vault was significant — capacity was filled in a matter of days on multiple occasions.
Perennial is doubling down on vaults by launching an Arbitrum ecosystem vault, which initially provides liquidity to the ARB-long & ARB-short markets (and will eventually be an LP to markets of multiple ecosystem tokens). This vault operates using the same mechanism as Perennial’s core vault: a simple 50/50 capital allocation between the long & short markets, modest leverage, and automated rebalancing. Initial vault capacity is set conservatively low but will be raised gradually over time.

Since Perennial went live, users have been demanding more markets. Rest assured, Arbitrum perpetuals are the first of many new assets that will be added to the Perennial protocol, with the help of Perennial Labs and the broader community.
Perennial is built with permissionless market creation, meaning anyone can launch a new market. The only requirement is a robust feed. Perennial Labs is keen to work with community members interested in launching Perennial markets and/or using Perennial as a primitive within a larger application or protocol.
