Developments in technology now mean that Sports Science is readily available at all levels of sports performance. According to Head of School of Sport Prof. David Hassan “Ulster have created an environment of sports innovation bringing together researchers, business entrepreneurs and sports coaches/players to establish services which inform and integrate sports science within coaching to improve performance.”

Performa Sports’ Marketing Director Joseph Turley commented “we are continuing to see the emergence of coach-analysts or inquisitive coaches, these are coaches who want to measure the effect of what they do through data and base their coaching on facts.” He added that “achieving potential through analysis and learning is fundamental to who we (Performa Sports) are and we’re delighted to be working with Ulster University in this regard.”
