The yellow brick road passes through the City of the Arts as one of the most beloved Broadway musicals of all time, The Wizard of Oz, returns to Segerstrom Center for the Arts with performances beginning February 11, 2014.

See all of your favorite characters like Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man, Cowardly Lion, Toto, Glinda the Good Witch of the North, the Wicked Witch of the Wes, the Wizard and more on stage inSegerstrom Hall in this dazzling Broadway show. The current production will be in Costa Mesa atSCFTA with performances from February 11 — 23, 2014.

Be sure to arrive early, because there will be some fun pre-show activities one hour prior to each performance including the Yellow Brick Road to Oz where guests can write down what they would ask the Wizard of Oz, if they had the opportunity, on a yellow “brick” made or paper. Guests can also take advantage and enjoy a fun photo opportunity where the Yellow Brick Road serves as a backdrop to their journey to Segerstrom Center for the Arts. Guests are encouraged to share their photos on social media like Instagram, Facebook and Twitter using the hashtag #WizardOC.

Guests from all over, not just those arriving from Kansas, will be able to represent their hometown by marking where they came from on the vast “There’s No Place Like Home” map. You can see where people have traveled from the see The Wizard of Oz. Want to test your knowledge of all things Wizard of Oz? Browse through the fun facts display, which contains information and tidbits from the original books to previous stage productions and the iconic 1939 film.

South Coast Plaza guests can purchase tickets to the show at any of the four concierge desks. If you’ve been holding on to a South Coast Plaza gift certificate since the holidays, you can use it towards the purchase of a ticket to see The Wizard of Oz or any show in the future at Segerstrom Center for the Arts.

Anyone whose ever seen the movie or stage production of The Wizard of Oz will instantly recognize Dorothy’s iconic ruby slippers. The world-renowned shoe retailer, Christian Louboutin, is known iconic shoe design with their trademark red soles. Guests at South Coast Plaza can see the special window display at the Christian Louboutin store where the style and red sole of Christian Louboutin shoes is combined with Dorothy’s sparkling ruby slippers.

The Wizard of Oz performances on February 12 -13 will feature additional pre-show activities for Kids’ Night on Broadway. For each adult ticket purchased on these nights, a child’s admission will be free. The offer applies to young people ages 5 — 18 and the promo code is KNOB.
