  1. Use a period tracker

While period trackers are not always accurate, it is always good to keep track of your flow and record any symptoms in an app.

2. Exercise! It actually helps.

Even though periods make you look bloated, you naturally burn double the fat during your menstrual cycle. If you exercise you will actually burn triple the fat on your period.

3. Use wipes to clean up before changing your pad or tampon. This helps prevent an odor.

4. Avoid cold drinks as it can cause cramps.

5. Drink hot tea. This is actually a perfect time to experiment on different flavored teas. Green tea and peach is my personal favorite.

6. Increase your water intake. Water intake helps with cramps, blood flow, and hormonal acne.

7. Before going to bed, place a sheet of cotton or absorbent tissue inside your underwear just after your pad. This helps absorb any blood that might flow out of the pad as you sleep. After all, no one likes falling asleep on white sheets and waking up on a Japanese flag.
