Perlin at Recent & Upcoming Events
Prague, Mumbai, Singapore & Tokyo
Perlin in Prague @ DevCon IV
The Perlin team was in Prague earlier this month to connect with developers from all around the world at the annual pilgrimage to DevCon. We were excited to see Vitalik’s presentation on Serenity and the work the Ethereum Foundation have been doing over the last few years. We were also pleased to see our good friend of Perlin, Aya Miyaguchi (Ethereum Foundation Executive Director), who previously spoke at our community event in Singapore at Google HQ, give a great talk about the beauty of subtraction.
The Perlin team also took the chance to sit down with a few of our crypto project partners (who we are yet to announce!). Valuable time spent connecting with our project partners allowed us to strengthen and refine Perlin’s technical and product design goals going forward.
Perlin in Mumbai @ NITI Aayog / ORF AI for ALL Conference
The Perlin team had the honour of being invited to India by our friends at the National Institution for Transforming India (NITI Aayog), the Indian Government’s Premier innovation policy think tank. Ajay Prakash, our Head of Product, was asked by local partners NITI Aayog and the Observer Research Foundation (ORF) to speak at their co-hosted AI for ALL Conference in Mumbai last week.
Ajay gave a presentation covering privacy preserving AI and decentralised cloud computing along with other distinguished local Indian thought-leaders and AI luminaries. He discussed some of the cutting edge research around privacy preservation happening at Perlin and around the world. Ajay also talked about on our cloud platform (testnet soon to be released) and covered some of the great use cases Perlin has for the AI/ML sector.
Ajay also took the opportunity meet with some of the leading AI/ML companies in India, which we look forward to collaborating with in future. The team always appreciates meeting up with potential platform users, getting invaluable feedback, and refining its product build with a customer-centric and market focused approach in mind.
We believe India is one of the largest untapped markets in South-East Asia and we’re excited to work with NITI Aayog and other regional organisations. Our vision is to help our partners in Indian government and industry to help them accelerate development, drive greater economic growth and achieve meaningful social inclusion. We also want to be a part of their ongoing vision of adding $957B to their economy through AI processes by 2035.
While in Mumbai, we also announced the Perlin AI 4 All Global Hackathon, an initiative co-hosted by NITI Aayog and Perlin, with Indonesia’s PT Telkom also on board as a partner. Working closely together, we want to explore how AI can solve social and economic issues in India, Indonesia and the world.
Perlin in Singapore @ CNBC’s Brainstorm Event: Future of Fintech
Perlin was invited to the CNBC Brainstorm event in Singapore last week, along with industry leaders from banks, asset management firms, and fintech companies. Organised alongside the Singapore Fintech Festival 2018, key themes discussed at the event included the emergence and growth of valuable use-cases in traditional finance for blockchain technology and AI. Our CEO, Dorjee Sun, took the opportunity to network with local and international fintech business leaders and to promote Perlin’s unique distributed ledger and cloud compute layer technology.
Perlin in Tokyo
Just as a teaser, we wanted to let all our community and token holders in Japan know that we’ll be in Tokyo in early December.
The team will also take the chance to meet with a number of other local Japanese companies as potential suppliers and users of compute power on Perlin’s distributed ledger and decentralized cloud platform.
… more details to come!
