It’s easy to fall into ruts and bad habits when you lack a reason to grow. An outer force or catalyst needs to provide that motivation so that you become better. In the case of this show, the catalyst may prove life-threatening.
“Incentive” is the theme of both episodes. Some characters are willing to stagnate and remain the same. Others have to force change on them, by making them face necessary perils. Anne tries to stay out of it, and enjoy the quiet.
