Helluva Boss was bound to have an episode where I blinked. “Unhappy Campers” hints at Blitzo’s backstory without elaborating on the details of the terrible things he did. Seeing Moxxie and Millie’s human disguises was hilarious, as well as Moxxie trying to play the role of detective to help a client.

My concern with this episode is that we had an arc where Moxxie developed character flaws that we hadn’t seen before. It wasn’t established beforehand that he would lash out at his wife, who he admires consistently for being better than he is at fighting and strategizing. And that arc detracted from the plot where Blitzo is trying to track down his sister.
