My Horse in the How to Train Your Dragon Live-Action Reboot

How to Train Your Dragon is a formative movie and book series to me. We don’t talk about the third movie, though my online bestie likes it, and I have varied feelings about the television adaptations. Viggo and Alvin are the best villains, but the treatment of a Jewish character and lack of nuanced POC concerns me a lot. But we’re not talking about that.
Been trying not to talk about this topic. Why? So many of my friends are excited about the reboot. Who am I to rain on their parade? But I saw the trailer with the motion footage of Toothless.

How to Train Your Dragon states that you don’t need to change your personality or quirks to succeed. Instead, you can find your own way.
