Here we are, at the end. I am not ready for this, for the show to be over. We have to say farewell to our ADHD Hispanic bisexual lead, and all those details entail. I was screaming and hugging Hooty while watching. (He’s fine, in plushy form and in the show.) If you haven’t seen the episode, go watch it on the Disney XD YouTube channel!

“Willingness to change” is the theme of this episode. Luz comes to the end of her fantasy novel narrative, to save everyone. She faces the past, to make a better future. It also means accepting who she is now, not who she used to be. Other characters need to do the same, or their past will destroy them.

Watching and Dreaming

We pick up where we left off, as Luz and the others prepare to storm the Collector’s castle. Something, however, snatches everyone away just as they prepare to march inside. Luz reaches for her friends, but she gets knocked out.

Someone with a Titan’s face tells her to wake up, and Luz does within the Archives. She’s wearing Belos’s clothes, but Stringbean is with her. Amity attacks her as she sees everyone in Bonesborough has turned to stone. Rather than fight, Luz turns tail, flying on Stringbean. Her other friends turn on her, trying to attack and humiliate her. They say that it’s Luz’s fault that the Boiling Isles ended up this…
