The Owl House Recap Season 2, Episode 10

We are at the halfway point for season two of the Owl House. Only about ten more episodes to go, and then we get several specials to end season three. What a midseason finale this was! Dr. Camila Noceda finds out the truth about her real daughter’s whereabouts, and we get some answers about the impostor Luz.

“Fragments of the truth” is the theme for this episode. Luz’s impostor is only too happy to fill in some of the details that the real Luz was missing, while Camila only gets a side of the story without the full details. Meanwhile, this episode’s antagonist has nuggets of what real witches are like but comes to rather erroneous conclusions.

Yesterday’s Lie

The episode opens at Luz’s house. The impostor is throwing out Luz’s quirky fantasy trinkets, something that Camila notices. Luz has never given up on her fantasy dreams. The pair also notices that someone has been setting traps potentially dangerous to animals. As a veterinarian, Camila takes great offense to this and plans to report it to the authorities. Cue a familiar face appearing in the impostor’s reflection: the real Luz! Someone is angry.

A few minutes before, the Owl House residents have made a portal prototype. It doesn’t look reassuring, with the door very crumpled. Hence, Eda orders Luz to tether herself to a safety…
