The Owl House Recap Season 2, Episode 11

We are back from the Owl House hiatus! And what a ride it has been, diving forward into the finale. This episode made me laugh too hard to feel sad, mainly thanks to Hooty.

“Difficult decisions” is the theme of this episode. All three plots involve characters having to make tough decisions, either for their loved ones or for their personal progress. Eda hopes to reconnect with her ex. Luz hopes to figure out a means to return to Earth. Amity finds that Luz is keeping a secret, and doesn’t know how to talk to her.

Follies At The Coven Day Parade

Luz is trying to film a video about the Boiling Isles, to convince her mom to let her stay. It doesn’t go well: Hooty skins himself while doing laundry, Boscha sets Luz on fire, and Principal Bump shows off the new detention pits. Luz knows that none of these clips will work well. She lies to Willow, Gus and Amity that she hasn’t tried the portal yet. Amity, who has started to learn Earth words like “Sweet potato” in Spanish, knows that something is up, especially when Luz leaves her phone behind.

Eda and King know about the promise Luz was forced to make. They reassure her that they have time to make Mrs. Noceda reconsider; King points out that he can charm her with his demon wiles, and Eda wants to use a zombie spell. Luz frets. She…
