The Paradox of Winning Squid Game
Why the Netflix show is a no-win situation.
Squid Game’s second season came at the right time. We Americans have to deal with the fact that racists will vote for the worst possible candidate out of cultist loyalty again. Communication technology advancement lies in the hands of petty rich men that care more about erasing their sordid histories than actually using their power for good. And a few individuals are ignoring the obvious warning signs despite having gone through this before.
This is our season two cliffhanger. Those on the X side are working to endure and resist four years of nonsense, while those on the O side are finding out too late what the “finding out” of FAFO is. But we are talking about the fictional horrors of capitalism, not the real ones.
