With the launch of our MainNet, you will notice some important changes to your Permission account. Below is a comprehensive guide of what to expect the first time you log in after we’re live!
Downtime: May 7th–9th
As you can imagine, transferring the Permission Blockchain from testnet to mainnet will involve a MAJOR infrastructure overhaul. When we go down to begin the launch process, you will not be able to log into your Permission account for a 48-hour period.
After we’re officially live, the development team predicts a 48-72 hour waiting period for MainNet to finish processing all Beta transactions.
There is no need to panic if you initially notice that your total Earned Balance is not available in your Live Wallet.
In-App Experience after Launch
When Permission is back up and the blockchain is LIVE, pay attention to these important differences you’ll encounter in your Wallet and security UX the first time you log in.
Earned and Wallet Balance
The “TESTNET” label on your Permission wallet will be removed!
Your hard-earned ASK from personal watch activity will be available approximately 72 hours from your first login after MainNet.
We strongly recommend you enable 2FA immediately:
Previously, “Earned Balance” was needed to keep track of your ASK in lieu of a live blockchain. Where you once saw your Earned Balance, you will now see “Pending.” With a live network, earned ASK goes directly into your Permission Wallet!
However, some members may notice their Earned and Wallet Balance aren’t exactly the same. Don’t worry, we’re about to explain.
What It Means If Your Account’s Under Review
As stated above, earnings from personal watch activity will be available right away. On the other hand, referral earnings will become available if your referees are verified, in accordance with our Terms of Service.
Your referral earnings will be under review if suspicious activity, such as getting referrals created with fake or temporary email addresses, is detected during Permission.io’s security audit. Find out further details about this topic in our Terms of Service as well as the forum.
If your referrals are currently under review, you’ll be notified via email and you’ll receive this alert any time you attempt to refer. You will still be able to watch and earn. Next, we’ll talk about permanent suspensions.
What Leads To Permanent Suspensions?
In the event your account is found to be associated with fraudulent activity as outlined in the Terms of Service, you will be notified via email that your Permission account has been permanently suspended.
You will no longer be able to earn ASK. You will have access to your wallet and the ASK that you have already earned for watching. For questions about account suspensions, visit this forum post.
