Site Map

Home page: The main home page reveals the purpose of our platform while also tackling how it began, and how we envision its role in the long term.

Gallery: A digital display of the several profiles on our platform. By clicking each photo, users will be taken to the complete profile of each member. The gallery encourages Salzburg fellows to engage and take part in our project by creating their own profiles and connect with other members.

Profile: The page starts with an introductory video about the individual’s sense of identity to eliminate the boundaries between the audience and the subject. (More information in the process section).

Underneath the video, we can see a written article and a representative photo of the person.

The article can be an autobiography written by the persons themselves or an interview conducted by one of their peers. It would tackle one or more parts of their identity, mostly focusing on what shaped and challenged their actual identity.

Underneath the article, we can find several embedded multimedia widgets that represent each individual such as: maps, music playlists, videography projects, photo galleries, etc. Moreover, the multimedia section will also focus on informative and journalistic content such as: statistics and infographics regarding the cultural and ethnic groups mentioned within the article.

At the bottom of each profile will be the hyperlink feature. Several words will pop out to highlight frequent use on a profile. When clicking on a hyperlinked word or expression, we can access a page that includes all profiles which speak to this topic.

Discussion: Live discussions will be held regularly. Based around one of many trending terms determined by engagement via the hashtags in user profiles or additional proposals from users, the site’s admin will consider the topics and schedule discussion sessions. A calendar and reminders of group discussion dates will be sent to the network.

For example: an email can be sent to the subscribers mentioning a live discussion about gender and sexuality in the media for Aug 3, 2018 at 3:00 pm +2 GMT.

Live chats will only be accessible during the specific time mentioned via email, and the discussion will be regulated and monitored by an administrator. It is also important to mention that the administrator would have the right to delete messages posted by members that do not respect the terms and conditions of our website.

Once these discussions come to a close, editors will work to compile a newsletter summarizing the key points. This publication will be disseminated to Salzburg Online members who are then free to share it on their personal platforms to encourage greater civic engagement.

Contact: A page detailing how to get in touch with the Salzburg Online creators and an option to submit additional comments or concerns.
