Bots Vs Email Marketing

I used to love email marketing.

When I was 16, I started my first business, an online music production subscription service for recording artists.

My business was always profitable because I never spent a dime on advertisement because of email marketing.

I would offer something for free in exchange for someones email, continue to send them free content every week, and then ask them to purchase something later.

For years, this worked like a charm.

However, every company was following the same strategy in one form or the other and people grew tired of opening up emails from companies.

The power of email marketing was the ability to reach all of your potential customers directly and do it in a personalized way through segmentation and addressing them by their first name.

Bots have precisely that same power — and more.

Bots haven’t replaced email marketing yet, but that’s only good news because it means you get to start thinking about how to leverage bots in your business now before others catch up to this opportunity.

So while bots aren’t in the position of popularity to compete with email marketing just yet, they are certainly on the right platforms to do so.

Out with the old, in with the new.
