Here’s our latest news on Persona this week:

Website

This week we’ve started the website redesign and the main purpose of the new website is to explain more clearly what Persona is about, for both individuals and businesses and how can Persona become the operating system for trust.

Desktop wallet

We’ve also released the new version 2.0.1, including support for ledger based voting and testnet interactions, as well as improvements on peer management and error handling.

Additionally, builds for Windows and Linux are already available and Mac build are coming soon.

Identity Wallet

We have successfully finalized developing support for attribute trust points using red/yellow flags.

This way we make sure that the attributes that gather too many unsuccessful validations will be rejected, and can no longer be used.

We managed to finish the US Treasury list integration and we also added an integration with the EU sanction list. We successfully included partial search capability and made several other optimizations.

Proof of Concept Applications

Our news on integrating Persona based bots include developing some basic bot commands as well as Persona related commands such as “retrieve Balance”, “get Identity information” and “get trust points”.

Also, command-line support for bot configurations is included.

We also defined the whole process for the identity check with the help of Persona by verifying user details: e-mail and allow/decline the write message option.

Mainnet migration to ARK V2
We have finalized the investigation on migrating the mainnet to Ark v2.We started a new replica of the mainnet from scratch which will be used as a staging environment to simulate a migration from v1 to v2.2.1 (which was released by ARK last Monday).

We intend to continue next week with the migration simulation by performing a real migration from v1 to v2 while documenting every step of the process. Once the simulations are successful, a proposal for the mainnet migration and roll out the plan together with the community will be made available.

Thank you all for your support and make sure you never miss a story about the project’s ongoing status!
