Here’s a brief weekly update on the latest news on Persona for those of you interested:
We are glad to let you all know that the Mac version of the Desktop Wallet 2.0.2 has been officially released.
Mainnet migration to ARK V2
We initiated the process of migrating the attributes and all the features available in the current Identity Wallet as plug-in on Ark V2. This includes the IPFS implementation and all the transactions and logic related to all the initial available attributes(verification, validation, trust points and their depreciation).
They will be developed as two separate plugins, so in the end we will have an IPFS plugin and another plugin that will contain all the initial attributes.
By making the attributes available as plug-ins brings two major benefits:
- in case there is a specific use case and there is a need for one particular attribute not available yet in Persona (could be blood type or tree species), it could be add by the entity that requires that specific attribute.
- Adding future attributes as plugins won’t require a fork, but only a simple mainnet update.
While continuing with the mainnet migration with Ark 2.1 we’ve tried migrating to the new released 2.2. We’ve encountered several issues regarding the Ark v2.2 version, so we will revert back and we will migrate to the 2.1 version.
Meanwhile we are still developing the new Website design.
Persona Ambassador Programm
We’ve launched the Ambassador Program, through which we look to expand the community and spread the awareness about Persona trust protocol with the help of local Ambassadors. They will be the Persona representatives in different geographies, they will organize meetups and events. The dead-line for Ambassador application is end of April. If you haven’t applied yet you can still do it.
We are very grateful for all your input and support. Thank you! Further updates will be announced soon.
