Persona — 25th March Update

For those of you interested in Persona updates here’s our news of the week:

Identity Wallet

The latest versions have been updated for both the Identity Wallet and the underlying testnet.

Also, an important utility tool has been created: it performs a health check on the network seeds every 30 minutes. If any of the seed nodes gets forked or suffers some problem that causes out of sync issues with the rest of the network, the tool alerts the team by email. Next steps include applying the utility tool on the mainnet, too.

Desktop wallet

A new version (2.0.2) is now available. It includes support for fetching the real time price of the PRSN token (in BTC) from CoinGecko. Also, it displays the total alternative amount in the main wallet page.

Website

Redesigning the website is still an ongoing task. This week we’ve managed to implement the SEO set up and the Basic Google Analytics. Furthermore, we are working of configuring the Server Side Rendering setup.

Mainnet migration to ARK V2

Meanwhile, several tests were performed on the migration network. Migrating the forging nodes to V2 and trying to reproduce a network fork scenario is due next week, as well as other situations that we estimate to be revealed during the real migration.

Additionally, we started working on migrating the Persona core business to the Ark v2 plugin framework.
