Why LinkedIn’s time has finally come?

Before we dive further into the blog, I spoke about my 2nd newsletter here. I am new to this newsletter game. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

I love consistency in everything, hence we released our 3rd edition yesterday and it was primarily around how LinkedIn (a platform that has given me some life-changing opportunities) has evolved from 2003 to 2024.

It was a simple platform for connecting and endorsing colleagues, back in the day.

Today it is a hub for:

  • Career development
  • Personal branding
  • Content creation

With over 1 billion members globally, it is not just about resumes or endorsements anymore.

The platform now prioritises:

1. Engagement-driven content

Acc. to our data: personal stories, industry insights, and professional achievements are working best.

2. Visuals NOW play a significant role, with personal pictures generating 300% more impressions compared to text-only posts.

Lastly as mentioned above we add my favourite sauce: “consistency” to all our clients and this has led to them ending up getting job offers, speaking opportunities & requests to be featured in Forbes, Wall Street Times, Business Insider, etc.

Despite being an evolving platform, LinkedIn remains a valuable job-hunting tool.

  • Over 61 million users actively search the platform weekly, with over 40 million specifically searching for jobs.
  • Over 3 million employees are hired through LinkedIn annually, highlighting its effectiveness.

While features like stories and profile videos are no longer available, job seekers can leverage LinkedIn Learning for upskilling with industry expert-led courses.
