Tangerine Investment Funds vs Wealthsimple RRSP

It’s that time of year that people when people scramble to complete their income tax refunds and figure out if there’s room in their RRSPs or TFSAs. Well, some people. I’ve found it quite difficult to wrap my head around, so often had money stashed in savings account earning less than 1% interest per year. Not anymore. It’s time to dive deep into the world of personal finance & document the process so I can keep track.

I did some research on various sites and blogs, and basically came down to a choice between Tangerine and Wealthsimple. So I’ve decided to sign-up for both. $1,000 in each account and weekly deposits of $100 into each, from next month. I should be able to compare the performance of each investment vehicle after a year and see if one is significantly better than the other.
